Friendly Fires is one of the largest fireplace and BBQ retailers in Canada. I was privileged to work with this thriving local business on a massive redesign for their original site which had been built in 2005.
Content Unearthed
Over the years a lot of great content had been continually added to the site but it was mainly buried and difficult to find. So much so that I continued discovering new sections of content for days!
It was important that all content be reached easily with as few clicks as possible, the redesigned site allows all areas of the site to be accessed from the main navigation menu.
Featured content is highlighted in the content carousel at the top of the home page and the call-out sections beneath it.
Easy Updates
The most important factor was allowing the staff to easily update the site themselves, this was accomplished by creating custom content types using WordPress.
Pictures, videos, testimonials, etc. can all be added and edited right from the browser, making updates effortless.
